This was an amazing day to hike Southern Oregon's gem of a trail. While it snowed briefly on the drive to the trailhead the weather remained steady for the duration of the hike. While I only anticipated being able to hike a short distance because of the snow, my friend Chuck and I were able to make it to the summit. While during the summer this hike should only take a few hours the ankle deep snow made our hike just over 8 hours. Look forward to hiking this trail in the summer time when all the snow melts.
